Minoti's pink beach poncho is cut from terry towelling with a fixed hood and short sleeves, in a pullover shape she can manage alone. Towelling is the fabric that actually dries a child after a swim, and there is no fastening to fiddle with: it drops over the head and sits loose enough to come off over wet hair. The hood covers her head the moment she leaves the water. Short sleeves give more coverage than a plain poncho, and the ice cream print runs across the whole piece.
