These boys' joggers for ages 2 to 8 are made for climbing frames, car seats and long days at nursery. An elasticated waist lets him pull them up without help, which makes toilet trips at nursery and in Reception simpler. Wear them with a T-shirt in summer and a sweatshirt or jumper on colder days. Choose the size by his height. A 3-year-old usually takes 104 cm, a 5-year-old 116 cm and a 7-year-old 128 cm. If he is between sizes, go up one: the waist keeps them in place and the extra length lasts longer. Joggers and tracksuit bottoms are the same thing, and you will see both names used. Check the care label before washing and turn them inside out to help the colour last.

How do I keep joggers from going bobbly at the knees?
Turn them inside out and wash them with similar colours, following the care label. A 30°C wash is gentler than a hot one. Skip the tumble dryer if the label advises against it, because heat and rubbing cause most bobbling.
