Minoti's black gilet is a sleeveless quilted layer on a nylon shell, with a stand collar that sits up around the neck. Without sleeves it goes over a long-sleeve top or under a coat without bunching at the shoulders, which is what makes it useful on days that are cold but not cold enough for full outerwear. The full-length zip runs from hem to collar for quick on and off, and flap pockets at the chest and lower front hold their contents when he bends down.
