Baby Sweatshirts & Hoodies
Baby sweatshirts and hoodies are the layer you reach for when a vest and top are not quite enough. The collection has sweatshirts and hooded tops for babies up to 24 months, made to go over a vest or long-sleeved top. They suit pram walks, nursery drop-offs and chilly mornings at home, and they pair easily with joggers or leggings. A hood gives a little extra cover when you step outside.
Baby clothes here are sized by height in centimetres. As a guide, a newborn usually takes 56 cm, a 6-month-old 74 cm and a 1-year-old 86 cm. If your baby is between sizes, go up one so the top sits comfortably over a vest (some shops call it a bodysuit). Sweatshirt fabric is heavier than a T-shirt, so on milder days one vest underneath is plenty. Check the care label before washing.
Your questions answered
MINOTI's Baby Sweatshirts & Hoodies collection offers sweatshirts and hooded tops for babies up to 24 months in centimetre sizes, where a 6-month-old usually takes 74 cm.
What size baby hoodie should I buy for a 9-month-old?
A 9-month-old usually takes 80 cm, which covers 9 to 12 months. If your baby is long for their age or you want room to grow, choose 86 cm, which covers 12 to 18 months.
Can my baby wear a hoodie or sweatshirt to sleep?
No, take hoodies and sweatshirts off before naps and at night. A hood can cover the face and an extra layer can cause overheating. For sleep, a vest and baby grow in a room of 16 to 20°C is the usual advice.
