Boys' Overshirts and Shackets
A boys' shacket is a shirt made in heavier fabric, worn open like a light jacket over a T-shirt or hoodie. It is the layer for spring and early autumn, when a coat is too warm but a T-shirt alone is not enough. The range spans MINOTI's age groups, with separate pages for ages 2 to 8 and 8 to 15 if you want a narrower choice.
Shacket and overshirt mean the same thing; shacket is simply the newer name. A boys' overshirt should fit slightly loose, so choose his usual height size and he will still have room for a thin jumper underneath. If you pick a boys' shacket with a hood, it gives his head some cover on breezy days at the park. Follow the care label and hang it to dry to cut down on ironing.

Your questions answered
MINOTI sells boys' shackets and overshirts, heavier shirts worn open as a light layer, for boys aged 0 to 15 in children's sizes measured by height in centimetres.
What size overshirt does a 9-year-old boy need?
A 9-year-old usually takes 140 cm. Overshirts are meant to sit loose, so if he is between sizes or wants to layer a sweatshirt underneath, go up one to 146 cm for more room without the sleeves covering his hands.
What should I check before I buy a boys' overshirt online?
Check his height in centimetres first, measured against a wall without shoes, as that is more reliable than going by his age. A 6-year-old usually takes 122 cm. Then read the product page for the fabric and details such as a hood.
