Is a parka warm enough for winter?
This one is: it's padded with polyester throughout, the hood has a faux fur edge and the ribbed inner cuffs keep the wind out of the sleeves. On frosty days add a jumper under the zip.
Which size should I choose?
Choose her usual size by height, from 104 (3–4 years) to 172 (14–15 years). If she's between sizes or wears thick jumpers, take the bigger one.
What are the pockets like?
There's a zipped pocket on the chest for a phone or keys and two flap pockets lower down that fasten with poppers.
How do I wash a metallic parka?
Wash it at 30 °C on a gentle cycle, inside out, with the zip and poppers closed. Skip the softener, don't iron the shell and dry it on a hanger.
What's the difference between a parka and a puffer jacket?
A parka usually has a bigger hood and more pockets, while a puffer is all about the quilted padding. This coat has both: a fur-trimmed hood, three pockets and a quilted metallic shell.
