No. The drawcord is decorative. The waistband is elasticated.

What sizes do these kids' cuffed trousers come in?
Eight sizes, from 80 (9–12 months) up to 122 (6–7 years). If your child's between sizes, go up one: the elasticated waist keeps them in place.
What fabric are they made from?
A washed slub cotton twill in grey. It's 99% cotton and 1% elastane, which gives it a little stretch.
How do I wash them?
Machine wash at 30°C with similar colours. Don't tumble dry them.
