Baby Girls' Cropped Trousers
Baby girl cropped trousers fall between full-length trousers and shorts, with a leg that finishes above the ankle. They are for babies from the newborn weeks up to 24 months. Pick them for spring and summer days when full length is too warm but you want her legs mostly covered. A cropped leg stays clear of little feet, so it will not trail on the floor once she starts crawling.
Each pair is sized by height in centimetres. Baby girl cropped trousers for 0-3 months are usually 62 cm and for 3-6 months 68 cm. For 6-12 months, choose 74 cm at 6-9 months and 80 cm at 9-12 months. If she is between sizes, go up one, as a cropped leg still looks right with a little room. Some shops call this length capri trousers. On cooler mornings add tights underneath.
Your questions answered
MINOTI's baby girls' cropped trousers are trousers with a shorter, above-the-ankle leg for babies aged 0 to 24 months, made in height-based centimetre sizes, and a 6-month-old usually takes 74 cm.
What size cropped trousers does a 12-18 month baby girl need?
Most babies aged 12-18 months take 86 cm, and 18-24 months is 92 cm. Measure her length lying flat and choose the size nearest to it. If she is tall for her age, the next size up keeps the cropped leg at the right length.
Can my baby wear cropped trousers when the weather is cooler?
Yes, from around 15°C, with tights or socks and a long-sleeved vest underneath. Above about 20°C, pair them with a short-sleeved top and sandals, as the shorter leg lets air reach her ankles.
