Is it warm enough for a toddler in winter?

It's padded and quilted, with a teddy-lined hood and a covered zip. For a child sitting in a pushchair on frosty days, add a fleece layer or a blanket.

Which size should I order?

Sizes run from 80 (9–12 months) to 122 (6–7 years). Little ones grow fast, so if he's near the top of his size, go one up; the inner cuffs keep the sleeves from slipping over his hands.

Why is there a popper placket over the zip?

The flap covers the zip from top to bottom and fastens with poppers, so cold air can't get through the zip line. It also stops the zip from catching on a scarf.

How should I wash it?

At 30 °C on a gentle cycle with the zip and poppers closed and the jacket inside out, using a mild liquid detergent. Dry flat or on a hanger and shake it now and then; don't iron the nylon shell.

What makes it good for small children?

Big flap pockets that small hands can find, a soft teddy hood and a covered zip. It's hip length, so it doesn't bunch up in a car seat or when he crawls.
