Baby Boys' Vests & Bodysuits
Baby boy vests are the first layer under everything else, from newborn sizes up to 24 months. A vest sits next to the skin, fastens between the legs and stays tucked in when your baby wriggles. In the UK, vest and bodysuit mean the same garment, so you will see both names used for baby boy bodysuits. Sizes follow your baby's length in centimetres: a newborn usually takes 56 cm, a 3-month-old 68 cm and a 1-year-old 86 cm. If your baby is between sizes, go up one, as the fastening between the legs needs room over a nappy. Check the care label on each product page before the first wash.

A vest under a baby grow is the usual night-time pairing in cooler weather, and a long sleeve vest adds warmth on the arms. Aim to keep the nursery at 16 to 20°C and remove a layer if your baby's chest feels hot.
