Is this parka warm enough for winter?

Yes, for everyday winter wear. It is padded all through with polyester, and the fur-trimmed hood keeps wind off his face; on frosty days a jumper underneath does the rest.

Which size should I order?

Sizes follow height: 80 fits about 9–12 months and 122 about 6–7 years. Take his usual size, as the cut leaves room for a jumper, and go one up only if it has to last two winters. The hip length leaves him free to move in the buggy or on a balance bike.

What is the lining like?

A checked fabric lines the hood and the body, so the parka still looks smart when he wears it open.

Can I machine wash it?

Yes, at 30 °C on a gentle cycle, with the zip and poppers closed and the jacket inside out. Skip the fabric softener and the tumble dryer; dry it on a hanger and shake it now and then so the padding spreads evenly.

What makes this parka different?

The colour block: pale blue on top and navy below, where playground marks show less. Inside, a checked lining replaces the usual plain one.
