Is it warm enough for winter?
Yes. The horizontal quilting holds the padding in place through the body, sleeves and hood, and at mid-thigh it covers more than a short puffer. On frosty days add a jumper underneath.
Which size should I order?
Sizes follow height: 104 fits about 3–4 years and 172 about 14–15 years. Take his usual size, as the cut leaves room for a hoodie, and go one up only if it has to last two winters. The ribbed inner cuffs keep a slightly long sleeve in place at the wrist.
Can the faux fur trim come off?
Yes. The trim is removable and the hood stays on, so he can wear the parka plain on milder days, and you take the trim off before washing.
Can I machine wash it?
Yes, at 30 °C on a gentle cycle, with the zip and poppers closed and the jacket inside out. Take the faux fur trim off first. Skip the fabric softener and the tumble dryer; dry it on a hanger and shake it now and then so the padding spreads evenly.
