Jumpers for Older Boys
Older boys' jumpers for ages 8 to 15 are cut for boys who have outgrown little-kid shapes and prints. Everyday jumpers go over a shirt or T-shirt, and festive ones cover the school jumper day and family visits in December. A jumper is the layer between a T-shirt and a coat: he takes it off in a warm classroom and puts it back on for the walk home.
An older boys' Christmas jumper gets worn for a few weeks each December, so buy his current size rather than going up two. A 12-year-old usually takes 158 cm and a 14-year-old 170 cm. If he is between sizes, the bigger one gives room over a shirt. To keep a knit in shape, turn it inside out to wash, dry it flat and follow the care label on each product. For cardigans and other knits, see Knitwear.
Your questions answered
MINOTI's older boys' jumpers cover everyday knits and a teenage boys' Christmas jumper for December, for ages 8 to 15, in height-based sizes such as 146 cm for a 10-year-old and 164 cm for a 13-year-old.
What size boys' Christmas jumper should I buy for age 10?
Most 10-year-olds take 146 cm. If he is tall for his age, go up one to 152 cm. Measure his height and check it against the size on the product page.
What should a teenage boy wear with his Christmas jumper so it looks grown-up?
Keep the rest plain: dark jeans or chinos and trainers, so the jumper is the only festive piece. A T-shirt underneath lets him take it off in a warm room. A 13-year-old usually takes 164 cm, so check his height before ordering.
