Is it warm enough for winter?
Yes. It is padded all through, including the hood, and the ribbed inner cuffs stop cold air running up the sleeves. On freezing days a jumper underneath is enough.
Which size should I choose?
His usual size; there is room for a jumper. Sizes run from 104 (3–4 years) to 172 (14–15 years), so it also fits older boys.
Why is the quilting angled?
The chevron stitching keeps the padding spread across the chest and back so it doesn't slide down, and gives the jacket a sharper look than straight channels.
Can it go in the washing machine?
Yes. Close the zips, turn it inside out and wash it at 30 °C on a gentle cycle without fabric softener. Hang it to dry and shake it out a few times so the padding doesn't clump.
Is black a practical choice?
Black hides mud and scuffs, which helps on a jacket worn every day. The MNT///97 lettering on the back and the sleeve badge give this boys puffer coat a sporty finish.
