Your questions answered

Is it warm enough for a proper winter?

The teddy lining in the hood and body adds warmth on top of the padding, so it suits cold, dry days in the buggy or on foot. When it freezes, a thin jumper underneath is enough.

Which size should I choose for a toddler?

Go by height: size 80 fits roughly 9–12 months and 122 about 6–7 years. If he is between two sizes, take the bigger one so a jumper still fits under the teddy lining.

Why is there a flap over the zip?

The flap closes over the zip with poppers, so wind can't blow in along the zip teeth on the way to nursery.

How do I wash a teddy-lined coat?

At 30 °C on a gentle cycle, zipped, poppered and inside out, with a mild liquid detergent. Leave out the softener so the teddy fleece stays fluffy, then dry it flat.

How is it different from an ordinary padded jacket?

Most padded jackets have a smooth, slippery lining. Here the whole inside is teddy fleece, which feels soft on bare arms and often means he can skip the thick jumper.
