Boys' Overshirts and Shackets
A boys' shacket is a shirt made in heavier fabric, worn open like a light jacket over a T-shirt or hoodie. It is the layer for spring and early autumn, when a coat is too warm but a T-shirt alone is not enough. Shacket and overshirt mean the same thing; shacket is simply the newer name. A boys' overshirt should fit slightly loose, so choose his usual height size and he will still have room for a thin jumper underneath. If you pick a boys' shacket with a hood, it gives his head some cover on breezy days at the park. Follow the care label and hang it to dry to cut down on ironing.
