Baby bodysuits and vests are the layer your baby wears next to the skin, under everything else. The range is for babies from newborn to 24 months. A bodysuit fastens under the nappy, so it stays tucked in when your baby wriggles, crawls or is picked up. On warm days one can be worn on its own, and when it turns cold it goes under a baby grow, dungarees or a jumper.
In the UK, "vest" and "bodysuit" usually mean the same thing for babies: a one-piece top that fastens between the legs. As a guide, a newborn usually takes 56 cm, a 6-month-old 74 cm and a 1-year-old 86 cm. If your baby is between sizes, go up one, as a bodysuit needs room over the nappy.
