Teen Boys' Beach Cover Ups

A teenage boy beach cover up is the layer he throws on between the sea and the car, over swim shorts that are still wet. The styles here are for boys aged 8 to 15. Cover ups are cut loose, so they go on and off quickly, even with sandy hands. They also cover more skin than swim shorts alone at the beach café or on the walk back to the campsite. Pack one in the beach bag next to the towel.

Choose by his height rather than his age. If he is between two sizes, go up one, because a cover up is meant to hang loose over swimwear. For a boys' beach cover up for age 9, 140 cm is usually right, and a boys' beach cover up for age 10 is usually 146 cm. Rinse out salt water and sand after each trip and follow the care label. For swim shorts themselves, see Swimwear.

Minoti's blue beach robe is a terry towelling pullover with a fixed hood and a Catch the Wave surfing club graphic on the chest. Towelling starts drying the moment it goes on, and the pullover design means no wet fingers fumbling with buttons at the poolside. The hood sits over damp hair without falling off while he runs back to the towel, and short sleeves keep arms free for beach cricket or clambering over rocks. The slim cut stops the hem dragging in the sand.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0946/0885/1275/files/bG9jYWw6Ly8vaW1hZ2VzLy9TUzI2LzI5VE9XRUxMSU5HMjUwIChBKS5qcGc_24653bbe-e1fb-47b1-b8f6-e6dbb633e632.jpg?v=1790511150
